Senior Android Developer

We, at Zolo (www.zolostays.com) are looking for a Senior Android Developer (in Bangalore) who comes with solid understanding of the Android platform, Android SDK and has published at least 2-3 android apps in play store. Our ideal candidate would have at least 3+ years of experience in Android Development. He/She would be the sole go-to person for all Android development at Zolo and would have an excellent opportunity to take ene-to-end ownership of the Zolo Android App.

What does the core role include?

• Build and introduce new features in our Android App
• Work on MVP & MVVM architecture for building apps in Android Studio
• Focus on performance, network connectivity, apk size and app store optimization
• Work with product team and other teams to build innovative, robust, and easy-to-use features
• Write clean, human-readable code with unit tests
• Participate in code reviews to uphold high-quality code and standard

What are we looking for?

• Knowledge of web service integration - RESTful, JSON, XML
• Good understanding handling the network performance and memory of Android Apps
• Knowledge of best practices in design and Android development
• Complete working knowledge of Android Components - Location Services, Push Notifications, Widgets, Notifications, Animations, Data Storage, Intents, Localization, Personalization, Sync, etc.
• Knowledge of third party libraries - RxAndroid, Dagger, GreenDao (ORM), Retrofit, Volley, Parceler, etc.

• Experience in building real-time, large scale e-commerce applications
• Active community contributions, published blog posts, etc.
• Shown success as an individual contributor as well as team player. Have consistently demonstrated ability and commitment to deliver on major releases
• Understanding of continuous integration, product launch cycles,post-publishing sanity checks.

What are the remuneration and perks?

• Salary anywhere in the range of Rs. 6 LPA to Rs. 16 LPA (depending upon experience)
