Key job responsibilities for a technical writer include : 

- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to peer review technical documents for grammar, content and style of writing. 

- Participate in and ability to convert technical discussions into documents

- Must have background in writing range of technical documents from architecture diagrams to capturing step by step technical processes

- Demonstrated ability to document business processes and write detailed functional requirements. 

- Ability to work under tight time frames. 

- Good organizational skills. 

- Capability to handle sensitive and complex issues with discretion and good judgment.

- Writers with Solid English writing skills and they will be tested on semantics of grammar, vocabulary, verbiage, sentence structure etc during the recruiting process 

- Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. 

- Maintain records and files of work and revisions. 

- Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel. 

- Confer with customer representatives, vendors, plant executives, or publisher to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication. 

- Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding. 

- Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material
