UI Developer

Job Description

• Build responsive and elegant web UI using the latest JavaScript standards and best practices.
• Collaborating with the designers and backend developers to plan, design and develop applications.
• Converting designs into semantically correct and web standards compliant HTML and writing scalable and maintainable stylesheets(CSS).
• Ensure Responsiveness & Cross Browser compatibility for all UI being developed.
• Refactor HTML, CSS and JavaScript code so that the UI codebase is scalable and maintainable.
• Build reusable UI components

Job Requirements

• 1+ years of HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like the layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
• Care deeply about design, be it visual representation or code structure.
• Open to building prototypes quickly to validate an idea.
• Strong understanding of HTML5 semantics and CSS3 (Sass).
• Experience with client libraries and frameworks (e.g. Jquery, Backbone.js, Angular.js, etc.)
• Experience with building complex client-side applications that work across browsers.
• Browser and performance optimization of existing areas in terms of user friendliness and taking the web standards into account (w3c).
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high pressure, start-up culture that expects great things every day.
