Whatznear is a Kochi based startup founded by 6 friends who are alumni of NIT Calicut and who had been previously working with companies like Yahoo!, Oracle, Goldman Sachs and Bajaj Automobiles.

We are building a platform that connects people with remarkable businesses around. We hope to develop it into an operating system for local commerce, and grow it to a service that people use every day.

Job Profile

FrontEnd Javascript Developer with a great passion for technology and coding. 

Responsibilities

To ideate, prototype, develop, test and rollout new features /product requirements. We are looking for people who would get a kick out of owning and driving product development and innovation.

Key Requirements     

• Core javascript expertise   
• Familiarity with popular javasrcipt frameworks and libraries (Jquery,Backbone etc)
• Expertise in writing performance optimized js
• Ability to write well structured, maintainable documented code
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails will be a big plus      
• Startup mentality, high willingness to learn
