Rails Frontend Developer

Whatznear is a Kochi based startup founded by 6 friends who are alumni of NIT Calicut and who had been previously working with companies like Yahoo!, Oracle, Goldman Sachs and Bajaj Automobiles.

We are building a platform that connects people with remarkable businesses around. We hope to develop it into an operating system for local commerce, and grow it to a service that people use every day.

Job Profile

Frontend Developer with a passion for technology, coding and creating great web UIs.

Key Requirements     

• Solid experience in developing web front ends with Ruby on Rails
• Expert knowledge of Front End Stack ( Javascript / HTML /CSS/ Jquery)
• Comfortable with CoffeeScript, SASS, Git
• Ability to write well structured, performance optimized, maintainable code 
• Startup mentality, high willingness to learn. 
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases would be an added advantage

Responsibilities

To ideate, prototype, develop, test and rollout new features /product requirements. We are looking for people who would get a kick out of owning and driving product development and innovation.
