Senior Engineer - Android

As a mobile developer, you'll build and own the Android and iOS SDKs and APIs that underpin our platform. The role also requires strong communication and project management skills to effectively collaborate with a variety of customers.

Job duties:

  • Support full development lifecycle by contributing to design, coding, testing and release management.

  • Contribute to architectural design and UI ideas to develop new features.

  • Troubleshooting and debugging at various stages of development.

  • Collaborate closely with the team in a highly collaborative environment for integration, design, and testing.

  • Program in Java or Kotlin.

  • Involved in CICD and automation.

  • Develop prototypes to demonstrate product ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related with 5+ years of software development experience.

Skills:

  • Understanding of Test Driven Development and proven experience in software engineering using TDD.

  • Familiarity with use of engineering project management tools including github, JIRA, pivotalTracker etc.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Good to have strong expertise in video streaming technologies like HTTP Live Streaming, video encoding, video players, closed captions etc.
