Flatchat (http://flatchatapp.com), is a new product by Flat.to (backed by CommonFloor.com) which bring communication to the forefront and everything else takes a back step.

Flatchat lets people looking for a place and people looking for flatmates to chat with each other by matching them according to their requirements. When you share a flat, the most important thing is “whom” you are going to share it with, and Flatchat matches you with people according to your needs with whom you can chat with and eventually take it ahead.

We are a small team which hires only the best people - we are backed by Accel Partners and Tiger Global (via CommonFloor) and we believe in having Product and Mobile first approach, what's the simplest way you can solve a problem? 

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Work along with full-time engineers and build product end to end
• Understand scalibility, code quality in web and mobile applications
• Work on any component you like, take responsibilty of whatever you are building and go deep 
• Help us meet aggressive performance and scalability goals keeping us ahead of dramatic growth in the space

Required Skills

• Good experience in Python and Django
• Basic design sense needed, everyone we hire has to have some design sense
• Familiarity with Git 
• Love building beautiful products and have had some experience building something apart from college/work projects
• Skilled at troubleshooting – you appreciate the value of testing and can resolve the trickiest of issues, and take the initiative to pitch in and help as issues arise

Bonus points

• Competitive Programming experience on TopCoder/Codeforces/CodeChef
• Previous experience creating useful web applications
• Experience creating highly scalable systems
• Experience in designing beautiful products
• Shahrukh Khan or James Altucher or Harry Potter Fan :) (Kidding!)
