Founding Designer - UX

Role Overview:

As a Senior UX Designer at Tunnel, you will play a critical role in leading the user experience and interface design for our SaaS platform. You will collaborate closely with our cross-functional team, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to design intuitive, user-centric, and visually appealing solutions. Your extensive experience in user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design will be instrumental in creating an exceptional product that meets the needs of finance teams and exceeds industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process, working closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand user requirements and translate them into elegant and functional designs.
• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain deep insights into user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI patterns to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to provide design specifications and assets for seamless implementation.
• Iterate designs based on feedback, user testing, and data analysis, ensuring continuous improvement of the product.
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends, techniques, and industry best practices, and apply them to enhance the platform's visual appeal and usability.
• Advocate for the user throughout the design process, ensuring that user-centered design principles are followed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer, or a similar role, preferably in the B2B SaaS or fintech industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and the ability to solve complex design challenges.
• Expert proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Experience with user research techniques, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design implementation is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions to stakeholders effectively.
• Keen eye for detail, with a passion for creating intuitive and delightful user experiences.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
