Sr. Android Engineer @ funded photo-sharing platform Vebbler

I’m Sahil, and I’ve founded Vebbler – a company that aims to change how people collaboratively share photos and albums with friends and family around relationships, events and interests. I’m in pursuit of a Sr. Android Engineer  - someone who can build robust and dynamic apps that work seamlessly across different devices.


What we're building:

Vebbler is trying to make it easy for people to collaboratively stitch together relevant moments of their lives in real-time, like a hangout with friends, a family wedding or even a quick vacation. We are a group photo-sharing app that relooks at how people use social media for 'visual story-telling'. The core of the product is called 'Clubs'. Clubs are on-the-fly, spontaneous photo groups that people can create for any occasion. When members in the club share photos, a real-time feed gets instantaneously created, capturing the experiences from the viewpoint of every member and every device. Club members can also ‘expressively’ react to each others photos through emojis, images and captions.

We are already on web with users from across 106 countries around the World, and both Android and iOS are shortly expected to release. We are also a venture-funded company, having investors from India, USA as well as Singapore. What I'm looking for:

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications across a range of android devices.

They must also have a strong understanding of the patterns and practices that revolve around such a platform. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Technologies we work with:

Vebbler's is mainly built in Core JAVA using Eclipse and Android Studio. We work with SQLite on the database and parse services using REST and JSON.
