Sr.QA Analyst with 5 yrs experience

Job Summary

Key individual contributor role to work with Quality Assurance (QA) project teams within the company. Works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC. Designs and Executes test scripts based upon test strategy/plans in an effort to identify defects prior to production.  Works as a member of the project team to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed.

Required Skills (“Must” have these skills to be minimally qualified):

• 5+ years of proven software testing experience
• Strong experience within the Agile Methodology.
• Deep understanding of the software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting)
• Strong knowledge of Test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr and SQL databases
• Prior experience implementing process improvements in support of testing or software development such as risk-based testing
• Proven ability to work on testing projects of all sizes
• Ability to create and execute SQL queries to extract test data and analyze
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills interact across all levels from junior members to senior management
• Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
• Adaptive, flexible and comfortable working in a matrix environment as a Sr. team member or an individual contributor
• Experience in Mobile testing ( Android & IOS)
• Knowledge of Mobile testing lifecycle
• Managed a team as this position rolls into a Lead position
• Expertise in writing, executing and debugging Automation Test cases (Nice to have)

Desired Skills:

• Exposure to various platforms and technologies:  JavaScript, V script, Net, C++, Web, Mobile
• Familiarity with modern development approaches like Agile/SCRUM/Lean
• Prior experience in automation testing (Selenium/Appium) (Nice to have)
• Prior experience of working with Onsite offshore setup
