Backend Developer - Scala/Java

Taskmonk is a “Centralized Labelled-Data Procurement Platform“ for AI-driven Enterprises. Some of the biggest e-commerce and labelling firms are our customers and use our platform for their labelling requirements. 

The backend team at Taskmonk is responsible for building the core infrastructure on which Taskmonk’s services can be delivered. The team owns how data flows through the Taskmonk platform. The role is focused mainly on backend development and would require working with very large volumes of data. One would have to design, build, maintain and scale new data services. 

The current stack include Scala, Akka, Elastic Search, Redis, Postgres. We integrate with all the major cloud platforms and have a growing base of serverless programming. Microservices architecture is being introduced using Nomad.

We are looking for Backend developers with experience in Java/Scala.  Strong programming skills in other languages backed up by good design and architecture background will also be preferred. Experience or Understanding of database systems including NoSQL would be an added advantage.
