Internships at the Takshashila Institution

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for talented graduate and undergraduate students of any stream with a strong academic record, a demonstrated interest in extracurricular activities and good writing skills. Students with quantitative skills have an added advantage.

What you will do?

The internship is a full-time programme, a minimum of 8 weeks long at the Takshashila centre in Bangalore. Interns will be expected to support ongoing policy research projects, develop knowledge products on current affairs relevant to India’s domestic and foreign policy, support ongoing educational activities or more. The Takshashila Institution believes in strong, continuous public engagement on policy matters and interns will be encourage to write on various online platforms – including the Indian National Interest blogs and Pragati.

How will you be rewarded?

For an 8 week internship, the total stipend will vary from Rs 8,000 to Rs 15,000 based on performance. Exceptional students will also receive a citation of excellence. Performance of interns will be reviewed on a weekly basis. Only interns who perform satisfactorily will qualify for a certificate and the stipend.
