Full stack developer for a startup on a growth curve

We are seeking individuals that can join us in our expansion plans. This person should be able to develop and maintain a Ruby on Rails application that will revolutionize online shopping. We are looking to work with someone, who can actively contribute and also have some fun while at the job. We are looking to build our team and seeking candidates, that are willing to do more than just code. If you like to learn things outside code, we would be happy. Working remote is an option, as long as you get the job done. We do like to meet as a team once or twice a week, so we dont forget faces, celebrate milestones, watch movies or grab a drink.

Experience working at a startup and aspiration to startup by yourself one day, are welcome. The role requires candidate to think independently, build and test new product features, own development, with minimal oversight from the CTO. The role will allow candidate to work in a cash flow positive company, passionate management team, exposure to the latest technologies/startegies in ecommerce and directly work with CEO and CTO. We are advised by senior members in the digital commerce industry.

Must have skills

• Confidence in building and maintaining an entire Ruby on Rails application with only some help from a senior member
• Expert level knowledge of HTML5 + CSS including responsive layouts, touch events and cross-browser issues
• Intermediate level knowledge of JavaScript + jQuery
• Ruby on Rails
• Git
• Good with relational databases
• Experience integrating with web services

Nice to have skills

• Experience with key-value data stores like Redis
• Server setup and maintenance
• 2+ years experience in application development
