Community Manager - Events at Startup Byte

What does StartupByte do?

StartupByte (www.startupbyte.com) is building a social network for the entire Indian startup ecosystem. It helps the entire startup community discover information and connect with each other faster and in a more meaningful way. In short, we are building a "Startup for Startups"

What will I do?

- You will be leading the complete efforts for Strategizing, Designing and Executing all the Events and Workshops around Startup Community across the country that are hosted/ partnered by StartupByte. 
- You will be working closely with the marketing and graphic designer to ensure your events are marketed well. 
- You will be responsible for Business Development Efforts as a part of organizing events/workshops to ensure revenue targets are met on a monthly basis that include cracking partner deals and raising sponsorships for the events being organized as applicable. 
- You will be handling event partnerships end to end as a part of various events and workshops conducted by us. 
You will be the go to resource for StartupByte for all events and workshops.

Am I the one?

You will enjoy the role and be highly relevant if you are someone 
- Who has already good experience around planning and executing educational and professional events with a semi formal touch (we are building a community and we love to keep it fun and social along with doing high quality events) 
- You have experience around doing Startup Events or have good understanding of the startup community. 
- You love doing events and engaging with the community online/offline 
- You love travelling and blending into local communities as per of the events being organized 
- You have a flair for being entrepreneurial and creating aha! moments with your creativity :) 
- You have amazing written and communication skills.

Who shouldn't apply? 
- If you are someone who is looking for 9-5 job / work life balance (We would love to get there but are currently in true startup mode) 
- If you think some of the areas we work in the company is not part of your job 
- If you complain more than thinking about how to solve problems and come up with solutions.
