Optimization Engineer with Math skills, industrial engineering, someone who has experience in Cplex.

The Day-to-Day 

• Work with transportation industry specialists to take the AI predictions output and convert them to an actionable AI
• Build automated solutions for NP hard combinatorial optimization and dynamic constraint optimization business problems
• Integrate 2 diverse concepts - software engineering-based reinforcement learning and machine learning based metaheuristics algorithms in the context of game theory
• Develop move generation and search space reduction through composite layer of algorithms from integer programming, dynamic programming, differential evolution etc
• Work together with domain specialists and the solution-lead to understand the problem
• Develop automated solutions for combinatorial optimization problem such as operations research, constraint optimization, or rule models for identified business problems
• Deliver solutions according to the requirements and identified constraints
• Mentor junior optimization team members and share knowledge
• Develop ways to organize and process data in an efficient manner in the context of the problems being solved
• Work together with software engineers, data scientists and DevOps to help to deliver comprehensive AI Solution

Your Background 

• Education: Masters Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Computational Physics
• Experience:
• 5+ years experience in Combinatorial optimization, Operations Research & Management, Dynamic Programming, Constraint Programming or related field 
• 4+ years experience in operations research in the context of warehouse organization, logistics, supply chain, container terminal
• Advanced level knowledge of the following areas:
• Combinatorial optimization of large Search Space Optimization algorithms using simple to complex multiple level optimization such as Tabu, Simulated Annealing, Ant-Colony, shortest path
• Applied statistics, constraint programming, mixed and integer programming, relational databases and building processes using SQL
• Data processing development in Java, Scala, or Kotlin
• Search Space Reduction Techniques 
• Programming in the context of optimization, or numerical processing
• Skilled in at least one scripting language (Python, R, Julia etc.), or similar language in the context of machine learning, numerical processing, optimization, or simulation
• Preferred:  Research experience
