Kubernetes DevOps Engineer

If you're interested in anything (or everything) Kubernetes - come work with us to get exposure to a class of hard problems in the enterprise. As part of this role, you will actively help (and consequently learn to)

• Setup and secure K8S clusters from scratch - often, the hard way.
• Work across public/private/hybrid clouds - AWS, Azure, GCP minimum
• Develop a strong sense of infrastructure and application workloads and everything in between
• Do bleeding edge work - service meshes (istio), OSB, OPA, amongst other things
• Get neck deep into K8S: writing operators, schedulers, controllers (and more)

Here are the skills desired

• MUST: Sysadmin / Sysops skills: *nix CLI advanced, OS concepts, Security
• MUST: Strong foundation in Docker and containerization concepts
• MUST: Strong working knowledge of running Kubernetes (OpenShift or Managed K8S is also acceptable)
• MUST: Sense of application workloads - both stateful & stateless, microservices, COTS included
• MUST: DevOps foundations - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Config Management (Ansible), CI/CD tooling (prefer Spinnaker exposure), Monitoring (ELK/EFK - others also OK), Shell
• MUST: Programming - any language will do (prefer Golang or Node.js)
• BONUS: Prior exposure to Istio service mesh
• BONUS: Prior experience building operators / CRDs / Controllers / Schedulers
• BONUS: Kafka / Confluent Platform
• BONUS: Mesos / Docker Swarm exposure
