SaaS Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are building a diverse and compact team with a work culture that is creative and flat. The person will be responsible for mentoring software engineers within their technical guild to develop their coding, adopt best practices, performance, documentation, and problem solving abilities in addition to contributing to our code base. He will also be responsible for their direct reports training, providing necessary software and hardware tools, yearly reviews, conducting one-on- ones, career development, and coaching.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Collaborate with the Founders to build a comprehensive vision and product roadmap

- Build out the architecture, team, technology stack and platform

- Set the tone, best practices, and overall strategy for technical operations - from coding, project management, documentation, architecture, and scaling - and rigidly adhere to their implementation, adjusting as needed

- Own & report on technology related metrics, always looking for a way to improve our users- experiences

- Identify and incorporate growing trends and best practices in technology, evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms

- Lead strategic planning to achieve goals within timelines by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timeframes for development and deployment

- Help in the process of recruiting, hiring and leading a high quality technology team.

- Develop and manage a multi-year technology roadmap, ensuring the deployment of architectural solutions that are secure, scalable, comprehensive and maintainable

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills, experience and attributes:

- Must have been involved with building SaaS products

- Must be hands on

- Experience in leading the full cycle of web and mobile application development processes, from design to implementation

- Experience building web and Mobile applications using MVC frameworks

- Team player who is takes ownership of work, is detail and deadline oriented, with a strong work ethic
