Senior PHP Developer

Job brief:

We are looking for a PHP Developer who is dedicated to the craft, writes code that they are proud of and can hit the ground running.

Roles:

A PHP Developer writes beautiful, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways. You will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities:

• Write “clean”, well-designed code
• Produce detailed specifications
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices
• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

Critical Accountabilities :

• Analyze user needs to determine project technical requirements.
• Write code, programming and debugs software applications and solutions.
• Document developed modules, perform unit testing and participate in design and code-review process.
• Understanding and experience in complete SDLC from functional & technical specifications, documentation, QA processes, source control, maintenance and deployments.
• Responsible for physical database architecture and design, development, performance tuning, implementation, and support of the applications from a database perspective.
• Work closely with other application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands; work with large volume, heavy load databases.
• Monitors and modifies development work to make sure resulting software meets established goals.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

       Qualification and Experience

• BE/Btech,  MSc(CS),  MCA
• 1-5 years of experience in full-life-cycle of Software Engineering at top IT company / companies working on the technologies.
• Developing high-performance, high-capacity consumer web applications.
• Knowledge and experience in any of leading commercial cloud platforms Skills

       Must have Skills Requirements:

      LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) -> Proven software development experience in PHP

• PHP, MVC framework (at least 2 years)
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services. SQL and one of MySQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL
• WEBSERVICES: REST/JSON, SOAP/XML
• Good knowledge of version control tools(SVN/CVS/GIT)
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML5 / CSS3 / AJAX / JavaScript
  Design patterns.
• Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)
  Experience in PHP5, JavaScript, AngularJS, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3
• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
