Job Description - Front End Engineer

What is the work?

Simility is looking for a frontend engineer to design and develop our visual data exploration platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a modern, browser-based interactive analytical application using HTML5, D3, javascript.
  • Be the subject matter expert on the front end and be comfortable working on the back end.
  • Build awesome innovative application combining advanced client side skills, scalable middle tier and production quality.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
  • 2-7 years experience building HTML/CSS/Javascript applications
  • BackboneJs, nodeJs and reactJs skill are a plus .
  • Can build a Javascript application with loosely-coupled, highly reusable components
  • Excited to use the latest in web client technologies like LocalStorage, WebSockets and Canvas
  • Passion for data and visualizations
