Driven by a team of computer scientists and electrical engineers from IIT Delhi and IIT Madras, Shipsy creates platforms for data-driven decision making with the vision of bringing visibility and operational efficiency to the Supply Chain industry.
Most of our paying clients are in the Supply Chain industry and we are enabling new business models, swifter operations using algorithms and machine learning. We are processing ~1 million transactions a day through our system.

About Role
We are looking for a Project Manager who can help us in delivering software and analytics related projects on time within budget and scope. We are looking for someone who can seamlessly interface with client teams and internal product teams alike. The candidate must be comfortable and able to understand technology through hands-on skills are not essential. The candidate will play an important role in channeling business requirements in a structured format to the technology teams. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to drive initiatives across multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the core architecture and range of products and relationships with major customers
• Transforming on-ground business problems into technology solutions
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, and presentations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree. Candidate having a background in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields will be preferred
• Proven working experience in project handling in the information technology sector
• Preferred exposure in both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices, and possess the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
