Frontend Engineer - ReactJs - (2-5 years) at Kazoom

Company Description:

Kazoom is an O2O platform for travellers, aggregating local experiences (food, wellness, adventure, shopping), and local transport through an online marketplace, across tourist destinations in India.

The Founders are alums of Harvard Business School, IIT Delhi, Bain & Company, the VC Omidyar Network.

Kazoom was seeded at Harvard Business School and is Bangalore-based, with committed funds from prominent investors. The website and app will be launched in September.

We are looking for energetic, curious, empathetic, and indophilic team members. Kazoom aims to be the next Indian travel unicorn and we are looking for people who can come in early and grow with the organization.

Responsibilities :
•Design, develop and maintain consumer web applications 
•Work with the Product/Business teams to get full understanding of the requirements and propose solutions wherever necessary 
•Review UI/UX with designers and provide feedback and feasibility detail 
•Transform high-level requirements into intuitive, and functional user interfaces 
•Perform support and maintenance tasks to address production issues 
•Participate in architecture and technical design discussions, code reviews and peer inspections. 
•Documenting and reviewing detailed design

Qualifications :
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent software development experience. 
•2+ years of experience in web based front-end application development. 
•At least 1 active public customer facing website made in the past 1 year 
•Strong knowledge of React JS and its core principles 
•Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) 
•Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model 
•Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, NPM, NodeJS, Webpack, Yarn, etc. 
•Understanding of software design patterns in general 
•Familiarity with RESTful APIs 
•Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial 
•Understanding or experience working on AWS hosted web applications
