Engineering Manager - RoofAndFloor.com - Bangalore

Roofandfloor is  disrupting the residential real estate industry by bridging the transparency and trust deficit between the builders and home seekers. Roofandfloor is a startup supported by the prestigious Hindu newspaper Group and is cofounded by a group of IIT-IIM-McKinsey-InMobi alumni. We create well-articulated product concepts, formulated with clear goals and benefits for the real estate home buyer. As an Engineering Manager, you will be expected to design, architect, implement and maintain innovative software for these products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering team to build cutting edge and scalable web and mobile products
  • Establish a solid project framework and excellent development and release processes
  • Identify, evaluate and lead implementation of most appropriate architecture and solutions
  • Communicate and collaborates across functions to implement engineering initiatives
  • Estimate efforts, identify possible roadblocks and ensure timely delivery
  • Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members

 

Desired skills and experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Software Development
  • 3+ experience in leading engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of the server side software, client side technology stack with focus on scalability, performance and reliability
  • Strong technical background with track record of tech accomplishments
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities
  • Understanding of software development methods (agile, waterfall, etc)
  • Team player comfortable with big picture and tactical execution
  • Strong domain knowledge across platforms
