Job Description:

We are a virtual and augmented reality startup looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to create elegant and intuitive user interfaces for our platform.  Modern, clean and user friendliness is important to us.  Must have 3+ years of experience developing visually stunning responsive web and mobile-friendly applications. 

Responsibilities:

• Design UI mocks, site flows, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to create a clean and elegant UI while maintaining an intuitive and concise UX.
• Provide a design that is highly creative, clean, responsive, mobile-friendly, elegant, cross-browser compatible
• Create a theme for the website that will be in sync with business goals
• Test with real, live users in prototyping sessions. 
• Collaborate on information architecture and strategy. 
• Develop library of reusable UI elements, layouts and patterns that support rapid feature development
• Maintain style specification and design documentation for software development 
• The website design will be verified by major Search Engines including Google, Yahoo, Bing
• XHTML / HTML markup and CSS templates, designer will develop these using valid XHTML 2.0 markup and CSS3 for styling.  Designer will test markup and CSS in current versions of all major browsers including those made by Google, Apple, Microsoft, Mozilla and Opera.  Designer will test to ensure that pages will display visually in a similar way

 Desired Skills and Experience:

• Expert in building visual mockups using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch 
• 3+ years' experience in Responsive Web and Mobile-Friendly Design.
• 3+ years' experience in UI/UX information architecture.
• A formal qualification in Graphic design. Higher degree a plus.
• A diverse portfolio that exhibits excellent use of typography, color, imagery and graphic elements 
• Expert in Web optimized design practices.
• Strong CSS/CSS3 and HTML5 Knowledge Required
• The ability to successfully manage all aspects of a design project from concept to completion 
• Strong English communication skills needed to provide direction and to establish best practices within the team.
• Bonus for those familar with the VR/AR/MR industry
