Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Backend Engineer (Python, Django/ Flask) to join the core Technology Team. Your primary focus will be development, maintenance, and debugging/fixing issues of all server-side logic, database and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests we receive from the clients consuming our APIs.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business ideas/user stories into functional applications
• Architecting and implementing the back-end APIs for our services, creating and implementing database schemas that represent and support our business processes
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code using TDD
• Design systems for high accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
• Should be self motivated and be able to work in a fast paced and performance-oriented team
• Contribute to production deployments, including documentation of technical specifications and release notes
• Triage and resolve complex + systemic issues reported on existing production systems
• Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate understanding of deliverables, estimates, and prioritization
• Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
• Mentoring and guiding the team members

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of Experience in Python with knowledge of Django/Flask and should have designed/ worked on the heavy backend systems
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or any other equivalent RDBMS
• Excellent understanding of data structures
• Excellent Understanding of building RESTful APIs
• Knowledge about Git, Celery, Redis, Elasticsearch, distributed systems
• Demonstrated experience in implementing Microservices is a plus
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. Prioritizing and triaging obligations attention to detail
