About the Team

Red Panthers Software Solutions is a Ruby on Rails software development studio based in Cochin, Kerala. We have a support office in US, as well. Our team have been working in Ruby on Rails for more than three years  and have undertaken projects from clients ranging form a single person startup to MNCs with over 10,000 employees.

Technical Skill we're looking for

• Good Knowledge in Ruby on Rails Framework (3.x and 4.x) [Knowledge of 2.3 would give you bonus points]
• Well versed in the concepts of Object Oriented Programming
• Exposed to basics of functional programming
• Familiarity with Design Patterns (GOF, EAA)
• Have been working with Ruby as your primary language for over two years
• Fluent in git
• Experience writing test and following TDD. (Tools we generally use are RSpec/Mini Test, Capybara and Selenium)
• Intermediate to Expert Level experience with PostgreSQL/MongoDB/MySql
• Working knowledge of MySQL, MariaDB, CouchDB, Redis, Memcache, RabbitMQ, etc
• Experienced with deploying and installing softwares in a linux servers (DevOps experience)
• Should be able to hack and put together basic HTML/CSS and JQuery web pages
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks like angular, backbone, etc
• Experience Building APIs
• Knowledge of merging multiple data source into a single system

Work Experience:

Should have worked in over 3 - 5 projects per year (minimum)

OR

Should have worked in a single project for more than a year

Bonus achievements that would make your resume standout

• Contributed to popular ruby projects (+2 points if you have contributed to Ruby on Rails framework).
• Release two or more gems (+2 points if they have received a considerable amount of downloads)
• Active in Ruby/Rails mailing list and local user groups
• Experience handling legacy code base
• Have taken session(s) during technical conferences
• Active in Stackoverflow (as a contributor)
