RedCarpet is a YCombinator 2015 startups trying to disrupt lending and credit in India. We crunch alternative data sources and use it to build honest and sustainable credit for people in India. We like to think ourselves as the next generation of credit cards on the smartphone. We have relentlessly iterated for over two years and now are growing like crazy.
The founders bring in almost 2 decades of combined experience in building startups, writing code, deep analytics and CXO leadership at top-3 ecommerce players in India and abroad. Our investors are some of the best in the world - they include Twitch.tv founder (and YCombinator superstar) Justin Kan, Y Combinator, Google Launchpad and others.

Our apps are our core product and we spend a lot of effort on them.
Our Android stack is fairly exciting - we use a lot of reactive and functional programming with RxJava and Retrolambda. We are gradually adopting Kotlin (P.S. we are waiting for it to embrace RxJava completely). We constantly think of tradeoffs between power consumption, responsiveness and clean code. We love experimenting with UX and responding to changes in customer behavior. We have grown 10X in the past three months and are continuing to grow as fast.
The Project
We are looking for an expert to come in and pair program with us to help refactor our existing codebase and update it to the current best practices in Android. This includes Kotlin, MVVM/MVP/Clean Architecture, Rxjava2, Architecture Components, etc.
Because of the nature of the project, we will need demonstrable experience in working with these stack before. A github will be very welcome.
Location
We would prefer someone onsite to hack with us in Delhi. However, we are open to exceptional candidates working remotely.
Time
I'm looking for no more than a few days engagement working in a pair programming fashion.
