What you will be doing

Producing UX & Visual Designs

  • Working as part of a CRO squad including a CRO Lead and Front end developer you will be responsible for bringing design solutions to identified test hypothesis and solutions.
  • Using Qualitative research methods like user testing, session videos, heat maps and customer feedback to identify user issues and pain points, adopting user centred approaches to then fix these based on insight and best practice design
  • Lead the identification and creation of user centred, original, appropriate and attractive design solutions
  • Iterate visual and UX concepts and ideas – including user flows/journeys, wireframes (low and hi fidelity), screen components and assets
  • Understand development principles to make sure your designs are achievable within timelines and on the platform
  • Produce wireframes and pixel perfect designs for sign off in Adobe Photoshop and XD
  • Create enticing designs and assets for various digital marketing channels such as display advertising
  • Extend and apply existing UX and visual design standards and templates, evolving these as required
  • Use your expert knowledge to help find and source stunning imagery as required
  • Regularly monitor developments in e-commerce, design, and competitor’s websites and recommend enhancements to UX & visual designs

 

Planning and Delivery

  • Working closely on a day to day basis within the CRO squad to plan, manage and implement designs to support backlog items and user stories through JIRA.
  • You will attend the Agile development meetings as part of the combined digital marketing & IT delivery team eg standups, product backlog refinements, and retrospectives as the key digital design lead
  • Take a proactive role in identifying and resolving design improvements across all sites and campaigns while communicating with different departments to confirm requirements
  • Be accountable for time estimates provided for design work and ensure that work is completed on time
  • Manage your own workload and priorities

What we are looking for

  • 5 years + experience in producing high quality, accessible, fresh visual designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
  • 5 years + UX design experience in producing wireframes, user journeys and UX components – must have?
  • Experience either agency or client side working with B2C retail, leisure or travel in the premium/luxury sector preferred
  • Experience of working within an Agile environment working closely with scrum teams, developers and testers
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Experience with Sketch, Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Abode XD
  • Experience using Microsof Teams, JIRA, Trello or other Project management tools
  • Highly flexible, positive and resilient with the ability to be innovative and collaborate
  • Knowledge of responsive, adaptive and `mobile first` design best practices
  • Someone who can champion the user and customer across the organisation, helping the business understand the importance of UX design
  • Knowledge of responsive, adaptive and `mobile first` design best practices
  • Must have - Adobe Photoshop, Abode XD
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, JIRA, Trello or other Project management tools
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work and collaborate across a small team, as well as communicate effectively across wider teams and functions
  • Highly flexible, positive and resilient with the ability to be innovative and collaborate.

Could have

  • Understanding of Conversion rate optimisation and AB Testing principles
  • Experience of AB testing platforms like AB Tasty, VWO, Adobe Target
  • Someone who can champion the user and customer across the organisation, helping the business understand the importance of UX design
  • Portfolio showcasing previous work across both desktop and mobile web experiences
  • Ability to work and collaborate across a small team, as well as communicate effectively across wider teams and functions
  • Delivery to time and quality expectations, across multiple initiatives simultaneously
