Recruiterbox’s first hire: Python / Javascript programmer

Recruiterbox , Bangalore · recruiterbox.com · Full-time employment · Programming

If you love programming & write code for yourself (outside work) - say, to automate a task you frequently do, we would like you to work with us.

Recruiterbox (recruiterbox.com) is a fast growing startup based in Bangalore, and looking to hire its first employee to join its team of 3 founders.

We are looking for a programmer who will assist the founders on product development. Recruiterbox backend is largely written in Python/Django and heavily uses javascript at its front-end. The app is hosted on Amazon EC2.

You should apply if you like working with open source packages, would love to see your code being used by thousands of users and are excited to be one of the earliest members in a tech-startup.

Key responsibilities:

    • Developing new product features
    • Helping scale the recruiterbox application to handle tens of thousands of users
    • Answer email support questions from users
    • Develop unit tests for deploying bug free code
    • And pretty much everything that is required to grow the product...

Our ideal hire would have:

    • 2-3 years programming experience in a web based product company
    • Programming experience in python (preferable but not necessary)
    • Django + Mysql experience (this is again preferable but not necessary)
    • Javascript experience is also preferred but not necessary

More important than already knowing python/django/javascript is demonstrable ability to learn these, and prior experience in a web based company.

In your resume, do mention any programming related achievements you are proud of (a small hack that made your life or some one's life easy also counts). Also, give links to your github, bitbucket, and stackoverflow accounts, if any.
