Senior Designer

Job purpose
The Senior Designer is responsible for supporting the business to reach its growth and retention targets through
appropriate visual representation of key messages. Supports Marketing & Communications team with creative visual design service across multiple media from concept to delivery. Evolving and maintaining the brand guidelines and image libraries as well as ensuring all communication pieces are aligned with the corporate standards.

Responsibilities & key performance indicators
Visual design – Provide a full graphic design service including creative advice, art direction, desktop publishing, design strategies, production execution and supplier management. Working with the Marketing team and supporting other departments in getting the business messages across with high visual impact. Inclusive of:
 Creating designs, concepts, and prototypes based on briefs provided by team and stakeholders.
 Implementing approved designs to meet deadline and budget
 Proofreading and preparing final artwork
 Creating digital assets and user interface for online applications such as websites, eDMs, online
advertisements, social media, videos and motion graphics etc.

Execution / Production - Coordinate and oversee the production of promotional and corporate collateral, ensuring high quality standards are achieved within budget. Liaising with external suppliers to obtain quotes and prepare relevant artwork files for meeting production requirements.

Brand guardian – Act as the guardian of the SuperConcepts brands, ensuring the correct branding is applied
consistently across all publicly available materials. Take ownership of the SuperConcepts visual brand guidelines,
maintain and evolve the brand as required. Provide guidance and assistance to internal staff in adhering to
SuperConcepts brand guidelines.

Image management – Build and maintain the image library (digital photography/illustrations) to support brand
guidelines and marketing collateral.

Vendors – Develop and maintain external vendor relationships.

Collaboration - Aggregator and presenter of best practices in all things visual design.

Essential experience & qualifications
 Solid experience in providing graphic design service in a corporate environment and financial services sector
 Demonstrated experience in website design, video production, artwork execution and still photography
 Demonstrated high level of skills in using the latest Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat & Premiere Pro
 Demonstrated skills in HTML & Javascript for building eDMs and website landing pages.
 Creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense
 Ability to develop creative concepts to deadline is essential
 Demonstrated commitment to producing high quality finished artwork, with attention to detail, for a variety of
media
 Vendor management experience
 Comfortable working in a lean, performance-driven environment, while maintaining a customer focus and
strong sense of team and collaboration
 Self-starter with high degree of motivation and ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
 Confidence to present and explain ideas
 Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with peers and stakeholders
 Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design
