Tech Lead

If you are the misfits ready to fit in Rapido Product team, you’ll work among star engineers, strategists  in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, hybrid technology/operations environment.  We are highly customer focused and we truly believe that we can communicate to our customers on a personal level through our product.  The role demands great technical depth, principled thinking, well honed product judgment, a stubborn refusal to settle, bold innovation, a high design bar and a mentality of starting with the customers and working backwards. We’re searching for purely technical visionary and expert have a technical background, but he/she is also a manager, motivating troupes and playing carefully with the deadlines and his team effort/stress. Obsessed with faster time-to-market and better quality of delivery metrics.

Key Responsibilities

- Accountability for product delivery, performance, and quality.

- Hands on approach in developing things

- Hands-on management with deep-dive into the details of Software design, implementation and debugging, Software quality and Configuration Management, and will motivate and mentor our development staff to produce the best products in the industry.

- Manage multiple projects across a wide breadth of technologies, coordinate dependencies and interactions with other internal teams and external partners.

 

- Closely monitor and guide product releases/updates

 

Quick Background of our stack:

Rapido’s Backend API’s which powers all of its front facing products - Both Mobile and web mostly written in Node.js. (MEAN stack)

We use AWS, DigitalOcean extensively to host our infrastructure. We use MongoDB / ElasticSearch / Redis for our data stores

Our stack is stable and served us well, but there is always scope for improvement.(In the last 6 months we had only one downtime)

Having a Microservice architecture, empower us to tryout new languages and bringing the efficiency into the system.

-Strong understanding of full stack networking scalable back-end, mobile app and mobile platform technologies with particular expertise in one technology


- Experience hiring and growing a product development team.Hiring prowess. You’re a strong interviewer who constantly raises the bar for excellence. You believe that what seems amazing one day becomes the norm the next day, and that each new hire should significantly improve the team.


- Solid understanding of business processes and the application of technology to implement them.

- You bring the team up for success. Through Mentoring, Teaching and Reviewing. you help other engineers make sound architectural decisions, improve their code quality, and get out of their comfort zone.
