Qubole is Hiring SDET's

Qubole offers Big-Data-as-a-Service on leading clouds. Our product spans the full stack – all the way from a rich browser based application, to complex middleware controlling analytic workloads and orchestrating cloud resources and back-end large scale data processing components. Test Engineers are involved in testing different layers in this stack, in building test automation infrastructure and qualification of releases - and also have the opportunity to build internal and operational tools.

EXPECTATIONS

• Understand the design of complex software systems in the area of parallel data processing - hadoop, presto, spark, hive
• Excellent troubleshooting skills of systems integrated with multiple backends and architectures
• Experience in performance testing and benchmarking of such systems
• Design and Develop test frameworks and infrastructure for Qubole's backend systems deployed on the cloud

MUST HAVES

• Good programming ability in either of Java/C#/C or Python
• Experience debugging complex systems software like database/file-system/kernel internals
• Exposure to the Unix environment
• Degree in Computer Science.

NICE TO HAVES

• Prior experience in actively contributing to open source projects
• Experience in using or building Cloud IaaS services like AWS/GCE/Azure
• Academic research experience in the area of distributed systems and query processing.
