Below is the Job Description;
Title : Member Technical Staff - QA [if hired will be working as a individual contributor]
We are looking for Quality Engineers with varied expertise in areas that form the backbone of the Qubole technology stack. For our backend systems we are looking for engineers with exposure to large scale data processing systems
Qubole offers Big-Data-as-a-Service on leading clouds. Our product spans the full stack – all the way from a rich browser based application, to complex middleware controlling analytic workloads and orchestrating cloud resources and back-end large scale data processing components. 
Your Part :

• Test Engineers are involved in testing different layers in this stack, in building test automation infrastructure and qualification of releases - and also have the opportunity to build internal and operational tools.
• Work closely with  UI/Backend dev team, design test plan for any new features.
• As quality engineer should take an ownership of product.
• Run workload regressions per release across a test matrix of engines/clouds (AWS, Azure, Oracle)

Must to Have:

• 2 years+ of full-stack Software Engineering Testing experience, with at least 2+ years of experience with automation tools and frameworks

• Strong programming skills preferably in JAVA /Python. Come up with test plans for any new features.

• Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.

• Experience in setting up and maintaining automated test environments using Selenium / JMeter

• Experience in defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)

• Participate in PR reviews, software releases, and documentation of test cases and results

• Experience debugging complex systems software like database/file-system/kernel internals

• Exposure to the Unix/Linux environment

• Should be good at coming up with test plan for a problem.

• Ability to analyze and interpret technical data.

Good to haves

• Some knowledge of big data technologies like hive/hadoop/Spark/Zeppelin
• Knowledge of GIT and JENKINS
