Quality Control lead

Dear Candidate,

We are looking for a Quality Control lead for our Fort Ofifce, Mumbai. Please find the JD below:

Test Planning

1. Review product requirements, functional and design specifications to determine the Testing Scope & Effort
2. Estimate and establish the baseline along with the Project Manager for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
3. Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
4. Establish Testing Requirements including Hardware, Software and Data requirements for the Test Setup.
5. Organize the testing kick-off meeting
6. Define the Testing Strategy for each project
7. Ensure availability of accurate and comprehensive Test Data in the required formats before commencement of testing
8. Create a list of milestones and checkpoints and set measureable criteria to review the quality of deliverables in a regular and timely manner
9. Formulate plans for Regression Testing

Ensure Adherence to Quality Standards & Processes

1. Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization
2. Be the point of contact for the Testing team for all the escalations related to Testing and Quality assurance
3. Maintain Quality metrics and analyze performance across projects
4. Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents / artifacts is documented and maintained.
5. Track and prepare the report of testing activities like testing results, test case coverage, required resources, monthly defects reports and performance baselines
6. Check / Review the Test Cases documents in a timely manner
7. Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project.
8. Escalate the issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources) to Project Manager
9. Attend the regular client calls and discuss the weekly status with the client/Project Manager. Document & Send Weekly Status Reports
10. Review various reports prepared by Test engineers.
11. Track and ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
12. Establish templates and Checklists for Testing Best Practices, Guidelines and Bug Reporting

 Team Management

1. Build a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation.
2. Identify Training requirements. Work closely with individuals within each team in the context of overcoming weaknesses and creating greater efficiency
3. Assign tasks to all Testing Team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project.
4. Conduct regular audits of Manual & Automated test cases and provide feedback to individuals
5. Be the interface/conduit between multi-functional teams to lead the delivery of projects.
6. Effectively manage team workloads and team morale

 Testing

1. Hands on manual and automated testing of key web and mobile application projects within Paper Plane
2. Perform feature tests based on a thorough understanding of feature
   requirements and desired behavior with cross-browser compatibility testing.
3. Perform Responsive Testing on physical devices such as mobiles and tablets (IPad).
4. Identify and report general website bugs and other functional/usability
   issues in web applications and internal software tool
5. Validate fixes and maintain clear and appropriate bug tracking

 Required Skills & Expertise

1. 4-6 years work experience in Manual testing
2. Experience in using Automation Testing tools like Selenium (At least in 2 comprehensive project implementations)
3. Extensive Experience in testing Web Products and Business Applications (Desktop & Mobile interfaces
4. Strong planning and leadership skills
5. Working knowledge of Functional, GUI, Performance and Regression testing in an AGILE environment
6. Ability to highlight and drive issues forward from identification through to resolution
7. Strong knowledge of QA procedures, principles, and tools.
8. Strong verbal and written (technical) communication skills to explain bugs and other issues identified and produce bug reports, documentation and feedback to both product owners and software developers.
9. Ability to work in an environment of perfection and compliance to web standards and high design quality benchmarks.
10. Strong organizational and time management skills – know what you need to do, and DO IT!
11. Collaborative style.

 Good-to-have Qualities:

1. Understanding of Unit Testing Tools like PHPUnit
2. Software Testing Certification
