Tech Lead at a 7 year old Music Startup

For the past 7 years OKListen has been helping over 2000 independent Indian musicians to digitally distribute music. It has garnered respect and trust by maintaining a very high level of transparency, which was (and at times still is) missing in the Indian music industry. As OKListen embarks on its journey to create a v2.0 for itself, equipped with funding and good tailwinds in the music industry, they are looking for a Tech Lead to drive their technology function.

The primary responsibility of the Tech Lead is to ensure that OKListen becomes easy to use, is scalable, open and integrates well with the various partners we plan to work with. Given that the music industry & technology around is changing really fast, the role offers the opportunity to push the boundaries and innovate around ideas that will help musicians earn a living from creating music.

While we are not hung up on any specific technology, we are very specific about the culture fit. We are a very lean team (that's the only way to make it work in this industry) and each member dons several hats, gets their hands dirty and gives it their all with a razor focus on adding value to musicians. So it will help if you have been hands on with creating tech and love doing so. Experience in the music tech industry would be a huge bonus but a love for music is mandatory.
