About the Company:

Nymble Labs is a consumer robotics startup building Robotic Assistants for the Kitchen. These are smart kitchen appliances which can cook complete meals autonomously.

Having run preliminary trials in San Francisco and in India, we are now expanding our team, with financial backing from some of the smartest and boldest entrepreneurs in the global tech ecosystem.

Job Role & Responsibilities :

This robotic assistant runs Android where all the cooking logic and intelligence lie. The candidate will be leading this domain for Nymble and will be responsible for the entire tech stack residing in the on-board processor in the robotic assistant.

Back-End Software :

• Our autonomous robotic assistant will run a Recipe Engine(on Android) which has a pub-sub communication architecture.
• Candidate will work on implementing this architecture through frameworks like eventBus, RxJava and improving its robustness.
• Build and deploy different services(in Java) which will exchange sensor, actuator, state and other data between them.
• Data design for storing recipes, ingredients, instructions into a structured data model.
• Communicating with Cloud, App through a set of clean REST API interfaces.

Skills :

• Expertise in Java
• Proficiency in building multi-threaded applications using Java executor framework .
• Should have hands on knowledge in Java, Android SDK, NDK, Android framework and its internals.
• Sound knowledge and application of algorithms and data structures with state and time complexities
• Strong design skills involving data modeling and low level class design
• Good knowledge of object oriented programming and design patterns
• Hands-on experience of working with Databases and Linux/Unix platform
• Follow SDLC in agile environment and collaborate with multiple cross functional teams to drive on-time deliveries
