Founding Full-Stack Engineer - React, Node, Express, NoSQL (2+ yrs experience)

Opportunity:

Founded in December 2020, Pivot is currently bootstrapped with plans to fundraise in the next few months. This gives you a unique opportunity to:

• Work directly with the founder and external partners to build, maintain and optimize the product
• Have ownership over the key technical aspects of our web app including front-end, back-end, database, testing and deployment
• Make a high impact as the first full-time engineer by rapidly iterating, testing, deploying and improving product
• Closely collaborate on defining the product roadmap & features
• Get tremendous exposure to critical business areas including strategy, hiring, fundraising
• Work on a lean team whose focus is on building and distributing innovative, world-class products

Responsibilities:

• Write bug-free and production-ready code that will impact the lives of professionals across the globe
• Spec, write, test, deploy and improve code that integrates with real-time API endpoints
• Drive decisions and execution for creating first-party APIs and third-party integrations based on cost, efficiency and scaling goals
• Suggest emerging stacks, frameworks, tools that help improve the speed and performance of the product
• Brainstorm product features and guide decisions based on your knowledge of the codebase
• Analyze user behavior and participate in user research interviews to discover new insights
• Provide input on the product starting from architectural and design decisions to shipping
• Take mock/prototype designs from Adobe XD, Figma or other design tools and turn it into code

About You:

Skills / Experience

• 2+ years experience as a Full-Stack Developer at a startup or tech company
• Experience in building large-scale, full-stack web apps using React.js, Node.js, Express.js
• Experience in managing states using Redux
• Experience in QA and performance testing using the developer console and other tools
• Experience in building reusable components and high performance & scalable systems
• Good handle on NoSQL architecture and data design (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
• High focus on software quality, design, testing, and documentation
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git
• AWS SDK hands-on experience is good to have
