Software Engineer - APIs

We are looking for experienced Backend developers responsible for the development and

maintenance of complex high performing backend systems that integrate with various service and data providers. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Experience in payments or finance domain is a BIG plus.

This is an early tech team with <20 team members currently. Tremendous opportunity for anyone joining us this early!

Responsibilities

• Data modelling to optimize for performance based on access paths
• Designing APIs and abstractions to expose to the web and app front-end
• Building servers and clients for data storage and querying
• Developing, designing and monitoring large-scale web and mobile applications
• Ensure the best possible reliability, correctness, performance, quality, and responsiveness of the
• application
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Skills

• Strong aptitude for server-side programming
• Experience with higher level programming languages like Java, Python, Golang
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, Oracle
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect front-end applications to back-end service
• Knowledge of the open-source ecosystem, viz., frameworks and libraries available for common tasks
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Proficient understanding of code version tools, such as Git
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup
• Strong ability to write structured technical design outlines and pseudo code 

Experience Required:

• Minimum 6 months of professional experience.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Technology - any discipline.
