Mobile Software Engineer (Video and Computer Vision) on a project basis for a medical start-up

Mocxa is an innovation-driven medical device venture aimed at improving the diagnosis of seizures including epilepsy. Seizures affect ~12 million people in India (65 million worldwide). Diagnosis is the most critical aspect of the treatment and almost 70 percent of patients respond positively to treatment. Video EEG, the current gold standard method for diagnosis of seizures is expensive, prone to errors and inaccessible to a significant percentage of the 400,000 new seizure sufferers in India (150,000 in the US) every year. Our solution is a patent-pending product that makes seizure diagnosis more accurate, automated, accessible and affordable.

We are looking for a software engineer with 3 to 4 years experience from Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering background. The position will be for the duration of the project and is not a permanent position. The desired skills are:

  • Strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience in video programming, image and video processing and computer vision (OpenCV on Android).
  • Great communication skills.
  • Mobile OS programming skills in Android.
