Front End Engineer (Mobile App), at Mentor Together, India's largest youth mentorship not-for-profit

OVERVIEW: The Front End Engineer - Mobile App position will be part of a 3-year technology and program development phase at Mentor To Go, our mobile mediated mentorship program for young adults. This phase of development will deliver an employability focused mentorship program to over 13,000 young people. You will work closely with the Program Director and backend Software Engineers in building the core features of the mobile app that will be used in the face-to-face and mobile mentoring programs.

LOCATION: Bangalore

Job Responsibilities

• Understand all aspects of Mentor Together's current mobile app and platform and work with program team to articulate technology needs
• Design and build new features for Mentor Together's mobile app
• Proactively implement enhancements for robustness and security

Minimum qualifications

• BE degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Experience with the development of applications for Google Android platform
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
• Experience with complete mobile software development life cycle
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with version control software such as Git

Preferred qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience working with React Native for Android
