Architect

We are looking for a technology architect who can lead the technology strategy at LexStart and help steer our product development roadmap to keep us ahead of the technology curve. As the leader driving the technology vision, we would look to you to inculcate robust and agile product development practices within the technology team. You are also expected to represent LexStart at technology forums and build our position as a market leader in Legal-tech.

Towards that goal, if you decide to accept the challenge, you will be tasked with:

1. Setting the technology strategy to keep LexStart at the cutting edge of technology
2. With the CEO, technology lead and Product Manager set the product roadmap for LexStart
3. Inculcate robust and agile product development practices within the product team
4. Represent LexStart in technology forums and build LexStart position as a market leader in Legal-tech

The Vision for the Role

1. Technology Strategy

Your responsibilities would include:

1. Design and execute the technology strategy for LexStart by bringing in cutting edge technology frameworks
2. Define the technical team and other resources required to execute the vision including a Technology Budget and lead the technical evaluation of build out of the team and resources
3. Needs to foresee and take the team past critical technical bottlenecks in product development and coach individual team members onto new technology frameworks
4. Design and build security and data protection systems and processes to ensure protection of LexStart and customer’s information

 2. Product Roadmap

Your responsibilities would include:

1. Work closely with the CEO, Product Managers and technical lead to design the product development roadmap to provide LexStart with a competitive advantage in the market
2. Work closely with the technical lead and technology team in prioritizing technology development activities to ensure on-time delivery of new products
3. Work closely with vendors and technology service providers to ensure smooth operations and ramp up of technology infrastructure services

 3. Product Development Ethos

Your responsibilities would include:

1. Design and set up the systems and processes for quality assurance and testing of product releases
2. Analyse the technical debt in the current product and schedule regular refactoring exercises to ensure product quality
3. Assist the technology team with adopting the right technology tools and resources for agile and rapid technology development
4. Establishing and supervising a quality assurance process, including integration and system testing.
5. Establishing an application deployment process and supervise deployment to staging and production servers.
6. Establishing a customer service and support process, for web-based services that implement the support function. Establish a process to integrate customer service and support with the software engineering process to support resolution of customer issues and improve application usability.

 4. Technology Leadership

Your responsibilities would include:

1. Lead the presentations on technology strategy and differentiation to the management, board and investors
2. Actively share and participate in social media, blogs and other virtual forums on technology innovations happening at LexStart
3. Represent LexStart in technology forums and build LexStart’s position as a market leader in Legal-tech
