Recruitment Associate

Kite’s mission is to empower everyone with flexible, secure, and accessible mobile finance. We’re building a new-age financial system from the ground up to bring about full financial inclusion in India – a platform that can rapidly scale to millions of users and billions of transactions worldwide.

As we scale in the coming weeks and months, we’re looking to leverage our growth as an opportunity to enhance the diversity and quality of Kite’s recruitment and employee experiences. We’re looking for a recruitment associate to spearhead this ambitious goal. Given the relative novelty of such a program, Kite values characteristics and potential over CV “greatest hits”. We therefore do not have specific requirements such as educational background or work experience, although some work experience is preferred. We seek driven, independent, creative and organized applicants who aren’t afraid to learn rapidly on the job, approach mistakes as opportunities for growth and genuinely care about making Kite (and the communities around it) radically inclusive.

Here’s a glimpse into your work at Kite – you will:

• Build recruitment strategies from scratch that increase the diversity of candidates at all stages of the recruitment process, and design experiences that delight candidates
• Gather and analyze a blend of qualitative and quantitative data to draft and evaluate strategies
• Collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to understand their specific employment needs and expected timelines
• Draft frameworks that evaluate a candidate’s professional proficiencies and abilities to add to Kite’s culture and mission
• Act as a candidate’s advocate at every step of the process, including when Kite declines an application or when an offer has been extended to a candidate
• Act as a public representative of the Kite Team, its product and its values
• Travel extensively to engage with candidate pools across India

It’s essential that you:

• Have significant connections to—and origins in—communities underrepresented in the formal economy
• Are fluent and tactful in English
• Possess excellent organizational skills
• Enjoy solving problems and working through ambiguous and dynamic issues
• Are comfortable networking and engaging meaningfully with a wide range of candidates and other stakeholders in diverse settings; these non-traditional recruitment settings could include meetups, hackathons, university student group meetings, etc.
• Can learn and adapt constantly on the job—developing skills related to data collection, recruitment platforms and more
• Understand the importance of confidentiality in the recruitment process
• Are emotionally intelligent, an active listener and respectful of others
• Can multitask independently with little direct oversight
• Love to travel
