Kabadiwalla Connect is an award-winning waste management solutions provider based in Chennai. Using technology, we help streamline the collection and processing of organic waste and recyclables from small urban waste generators in India by leveraging the informal waste ecosystem. Our work has been recognized by the World Economic Forum, the World Bank and the UN Foundation, MIT, Dubai Expo2020 and the Launch Circular Innovation Ecosystem.

At Kabadiwalla Connect we work with diverse technologies varying from the simple web and mobile apps to IoT and IVR tools. You will have the opportunity to build new tools that directly have an impact on the society.

Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate and choose the right technologies & tools to solve a given problem
  • Design and build scalable REST API or service for the Mobile and Web Apps
  • Building hybrid mobile applications using React Native
  • Design and develop scalable DB and backend architecture
  • Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of software
  • Work in highly collaborative teams and building quality code using multiple technologies

Frontend:

  • Proficient in web fundamentals - HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Experience in CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS
  • Proficient in any one of the JavaScript frameworks like React, and JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Bower
  • Experience in developing hybrid applications using Ionic or React Native
  • Proficient in front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap
  • Proficient with Git
  • Ability to work and communicate well with a small and remote team environment.

Backend:

  • Proficient in working on Linux based server
  • Experience in designing and developing Restful API services
  • Proficient in any one of the Server-side languages like PHP, Python, and Node
  • Proficient in MySQL databases and SQL
  • Experience with web server technologies like Apache, Nginx, etc.
  • Experience with frameworks related to their server-side language of choice like Django, Express Js etc.
  • Experience with cloud services like Digital Ocean or AWS.
