Ruby+MongoDb Backend Engineer

Jombay's web and backend platform was built, and is being maintained by a lean team of 4 engineers. We are looking to expand the team of highly passionate product builders who are set to build the next valuable company and a real business in India. 

We are looking for people who: 

• Have worked with at least one software product startup
• Have been working on product backend development for at least 5 years
• Know & understand the approach, and put a lot of thought before writing any piece of code
• Possess extensive production experience with Ruby and MongoDb (must at least have a strong hold on aggregate pipelines)
• Are willing to take ownership of every aspect of backend development. e.g. Database modelling, API design, optimizations for scale, etc.
• Are more inclined towards solving a problem than sticking to a particular technology stack and/or approach
• Can write modular code by writing libraries and Ruby gems
• Have worked with message queues using either of Sidekiq, Resque, AMQP, etc.
• Follow best practices with Git Pull Requests and weekly releases
• Have worked on Ruby and Rails projects at scale
• Are looking for a product startup job in Pune
