Job Summary:

As a key member of our sales team, the Solution Consultant is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation of the software sales process. Working in conjunction with the Sales Account Executives (AE), you will be the key technical advisor and product advocate for our solutions. Through our intensive job-shadow and training program, you’ll learn from the best Solution Engineering team members to ensure you’ll be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.

Essential Functions:

  • Discovering customer requirements and aligning Innovapptive solutions to those requirements
  • Representing Innovapptive products to customers at field events in Europe and Asia Pacific Region
  • Development and delivery of product demonstrations
  • Participating in and leading Proof of Concept engagements
  • Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Conveying customer requirements to the Product Management and Consulting teams
  • Supporting Marketing events – user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc.
  • Staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors
  • Regularly traveling to customer engagements and field event throughout the sales territory (Travel needed to US, Europe or Australia)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in MIS, Engineering or Computer Science
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource, consultant, and/or related field
  • SAP EAM / PM or SAP MM experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Strong background in a business consulting or advisory services capacity is a plus
  • Understanding and/or experience with Manufacturing or Industrial concepts/technologies is preferred
  • 40% international travel is expected; Travel will be throughout North America, Australia and Europe
