Seeking experienced web developer in a Python state of mind

At Indusnet Labs, we are creating the next generation of products for the web. We are physically located in Kolkata and are part of the IndusNet Technologies group.

This is a very hands-on opportunity where you will work in an agile development environment and deliver production quality features for web applications, consistently.

As a software developer on this team, you will have the opportunity to:

• Have direct influence and hence responsibility over product lines

• Identify areas of improvement in our frameworks, tools, processes and strive to make them better

• Actively participate in defining the product roadmap

• Drive positive change in the team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex web applications using a variety of tools and technologies

• Work with the business team to understand quality issues and generate new features to be deployed

Requirements:

• Strong Linux background

• Experience with Python and PHP

• Experience working with frameworks like Django and CodeIgniter

• Excellent knowledge of Javascript and experience with JS library like Jquery

• Comfortable working with CSS framework like blueprint or 960.gs

• Experience with MySQL

• Experience with Tuple stores like MemcacheDB or Redis and Doc store like CouchDB

• Comfortable working with and designing APIs.

• Post production optimization and re-factoring

• Test driven development

Good to have:

• Experience with wide column store like Hadoop/HBase

• Experience with responsive web design
