Android Engineer

Role and Responsibilities : 

• Understand the Design and development of large OTT Mobile and TV Apps , which directly impact millions of users
• Write highly efficient code using sound computing knowledge of algorithms, data structures, patterns and practises
• Hunger to develop excellent skills in building amazing User Experience and User Interfaces for Various form factors – Tablets / TVs / Mobile etc
• Aptitude for learning and demonstrating the ability to design, develop, integrate, optimize and debug Android Applications on Mobile and Android TV
• Work as part of an Agile team to deliver high-quality product scaling out to large customer bases

 What we need : 

• Have basic knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Have basic knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Basic knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Bitbucket/Github
• Strong on OOPS concepts.
• Basic knowledge of standard libraries like Retrofit & Picasso.
• Interest and Ability to learn new stuff as needed.
• Must have understanding of firebase modules
• Must have good communication skills

Ideal Qualifications: 

• E / B. Tech / M.E / M. Tech / M.S - Premier institutes preferred
• Expertise in developing/shipping iOS applications for large users (preferably 1million +)
• Computational thinking - Data Structures, Algorithms and Time Complexity
• Independent, energetic with good communication, collaboration and strong teamwork ethics
