Android Developer

We are looking for a smart technologist, who is an expert Android Developer and he/she would be responsible for application development that involves but is not limited to user Interface design, machine learning on device, augmented reality, video delivery, video capture, services integration, ad-tech, Continuous Integration etc.

He/She will be responsible for:

• Building company's flagship Android app products, based on the requirements from the product team, and grow through an iterative roll-out plan
• Managing the full technical life-cycle, from development to testing and production, of company's Android applications roll out.
• Collaborating with team members to brainstorm about new products, provide technical insight, gather inputs then build and execute sprints based on the outcome.
• Documenting and maintaining design specifications, source code, and archives for new applications and ideas.
• Working with content teams and sales teams to assess customer demand and usability of new applications.
• Performing individual project components within the entire development lifecycle including implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Working from UI/UX requirements, APIs, mockups to build functional, high-performance Android phone, tablet and TV apps.
• Diagnosing performance issues, fix bugs to increase the functionality of new applications.
• Understanding the nuances of fragments and Android XML layouts, and how to create adaptive interfaces that work for - multiple device form factors.

Required Skillset:

• Has worked on video delivery apps for VOD and livestream and aware of ad integration.
• Has worked on latest design patterns like MVP and MVVM.
• Extensive hands-on experience in creating custom UI controls, designing protocols, implementing interfaces, and performance optimization.
• Working knowledge of Web Services & REST (JSON) APIs.
• Expertise in Git source code management.
• Deep knowledge of Android ecosystem, including Firebase, SQL DBs, Couchbase, and must have put together several functioning Android applications in the past.
  • Knowledge of Android SDK, Eclipse, Android Studio and/or appropriate equipment and software.
• Minimum 1 year(s) of full-cycle Android software development experience.
• Should have worked on at least one app that has 100K+ downloads on playstore.
• Should have been part of a team that practiced CICD - Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and should have that mindset.
