Lead Front-End Engineer @ TARS

Tars is a DIY platform where businesses can create chatbots for multiple use cases like lead generation, lead enrichment, automating call centers calls, customer support automation etc.

We work with companies like Bajaj Finserv, Indiamart, CignaTTK, and a lot of small and medium businesses, helping them create a better user experience with bots.

We are currently a small knight team in Bangalore, driven by technology and innovation to solve real world business problems for our customers.

We are looking for a Front End Engineer to Lead the User facing experience of the Product. You will design and develop new features and improve old ones, which will bring direct and measurable value to the users of the product. Our tech stack includes jQuery, Backbone.js, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, AWS, SQS, S3 and much more.



Requirements:

- An ideal Front End Engineer would have 1-2 years of experience in building highly scalable & responsive UI on the Web/Mobile Web

- 1+ years web development technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery and general Web concepts like http and REST API

- Ability to convert design mockups to prototypes, write production ready optimised code.

- Knowledge of UI layouts, SASS/LESS, Bootstrap and the CSS GRID system

- Experience writing modular/reusable code and using JS frameworks like BackboneJS/VueJS, or other comparable frameworks or toolkits

- Great interpersonal & communication skills

- Backend engineering knowledge in Node.js, MongoDB, REST API and Server side Integrations is a huge plus



What you will be working on:

- You will be working on TARS chatbot web UI to improve the experience and bring delight for the end-user

- Building innovative ways to collect information from the end-user, in the form of input UIs in TARS chatbot web UI

- Building features in the TARS bot builder which will enable the users to make more effective chatbots for their businesses with simplicity and ease of use

- Building features which will enable the Bot makers to better understand the end-user interaction behaviour with the chatbots and how can they improve the bot conversations

- Understand the problems that users are facing while making their chatbot in the tool, and come up with creative solutions to solve those problems

- Talking directly to the users on live chat support to resolve any problems they are facing with the product and take their feedback to improve the Product

- Document any feature update or bug fix and write tech guide to help users in the process of building the bot

- Come up with your own ideas and features, which will have a direct impact on the value that the users are expecting from the product

- Based on what works, you will experiment with, measure and document strategies that help us increase feature effectiveness. You will be a critical part of helping us enhance our customer retention, expansion and referrals.
