This job opening is for an accountant – someone who understands and works with taxes, numbers and finance. 

As part of this job, your responsibilities will include:

• Book-keeping and reconciling accounts on a daily basis. 
  
  
• Completing statutory compliance including monthly and quarterly + half-yearly returns filing for TDS, GST, professional tax, PF and income tax. 
  
  
• Making payments to vendors and contractors after verifying nvoices. 

• Maintaining and managing relationships with banks where we hold accounts.

• Working in close coordination with our auditors to prepare annual balance sheet for tax filings. 

• Revenue management in terms of invoice generation and fortnightly reports on outstandings for follow-up on collection.

• Tracking expenses and income and presenting the same on a monthly basis for cashflow planning.

Criteria for applying for this job:

1. Qualifications: You should hold BCom / MCom / MBA with a specialization in Finance. CA (Inter) or CS (Inter) and above with articleship experience is an added bonus, as also past work experience.
2. Mastery of Tally, Quickbooks, spreadsheets (Excel) and Google documents is absolutely essential. Knowledge of Evernote and other task management software applications will be considered favorably.
3. You should know the importance of backing up financial data on a regular basis, and you should not be afraid of working with computers – if you are, please don’t apply for this job.
4. You are comfortable using a smartphone including messaging, task management and expense management apps. 

We cannot stress more on the fact that this is not a side/part time job, a post-retirement job or a passive job. So if you are not adept at using and learning new technology related to accounting, this job isn’t for you.
