Job Description

The Branding Club and Hard.Coded are searching for a Solutions Architect to lead the architectural efforts for our ambitious project, creating a scalable and robust MVP within 9 months using the MERN stack. As a Solutions Architect, you will work closely with both scrum teams and the Product Owner to design and implement a technical architecture that not only meets current requirements but also anticipates future growth and technology trends. Your expertise will ensure that our solution is innovative, efficient, and sustainable.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive solution architecture that aligns with business objectives and project goals.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Masters to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Guide and mentor development teams on adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Review and approve proposed development releases, ensuring alignment with architectural vision.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies that can improve product performance and scalability.
• Lead the effort to resolve complex technical issues during the development process.
• Ensure security, reliability, and scalability are integrated into the architecture from the outset.
• Document and communicate architectural designs and standards to all stakeholders.

Must-Haves:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role in software development projects.
• Strong understanding of the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) and its application in building scalable applications.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
• 10-15 years of experience in the field with a stable career history (no job hopping).
• JavaScript experience, particularly with Express.js and Node.js.
• Experience with Document DBs such as MongoDB and Cosmos DB.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Strong negotiation skills, not just about salary but also with other parties.

Nice to Haves:

• Certifications relevant to software architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Prior involvement in high-growth, early-stage projects where scalability was key to success.
